# How do I install exo?

On a Mac with macOS Tahoe 26.2 or later, download the exo app from exolabs.net or run brew install --cask exo. Install it on each Mac you want in the cluster. The devices find each other, and the dashboard and API run at http://localhost:52415.

To run from source on macOS or Linux, clone github.com/exo-explore/exo, build the dashboard, then run uv sync and uv run exo. The README lists the prerequisites.

For the fastest multi-Mac setup, connect the Macs with Thunderbolt 5 cables and enable RDMA once per Mac from Recovery mode (rdma_ctl enable).

**Where exo fits:** Setting up for a team? Exo Labs can help you plan the hardware and network before you buy.
