# What hardware does exo support?

exo runs on Apple silicon Macs. Tested and maintained platforms are the M3 Ultra Mac Studio, M4 Pro Mac mini, and M4 Max and M5 MacBook Pro. The macOS app needs macOS Tahoe 26.2 or later. On Linux, exo currently runs on CPU; NVIDIA DGX Spark support is planned.

Your total memory decides which models fit. Your links decide how well machines work together: Thunderbolt 5 with RDMA is fastest.

Planned platforms include Linux with CUDA (starting with DGX Spark), Linux with Vulkan, and, longer term, Windows.

**Where exo fits:** Not sure what to buy? local.ai shows which models fit which machines, and Exo Labs can help size a cluster for your team.
